ST. PAUL CITY CONFERENCE: Junior High Girls' Soccer Guidelines

The girls' soccer coaches meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2011, at 4:00 p.m., 360 Colborne, Fifth Floor Cafeteria.

Practice for girls' junior high soccer may begin Monday, September 12, 2011.

Coach or school athletic director is responsible for hiring the official for each home game. They must also forward, in a timely manner, the Officiating Services Report to the District Office so that officials are paid.

Medical examinations are required for all participants.

Practice shall be conducted five days a week, except on the days when games are scheduled.

A minimum of seven players are needed to start a game.

A game will consist of two 30-minute halves, running time, except for injury. Halftime is seven minutes.

Teams will change ends after each half.

The goalie must wear a different color jersey from own team.

Substitution:
-
On their own corner kick
-
On their own throw-in
-
In any goal kick (either end)

Any injury (unlimited substitution)

A tie game stays as a tie.

The results of the game should be called in by the HOME coach to John Vosejpka by phone (767-3490) or e-mail (john.vosejpka@SPPS.org) for Web site posting.

Request to play non-conference games must be made through the Athletic Director in charge of girls' soccer.

Transportation to and from games must be by bonded carrier only.

The standings will be compiled using a point system of three points for wins, one point for tie, and no points for losses.

Trophy, ribbons and medals will be awarded to the City Champion at a scheduled board meeting.

Anything not covered here will follow the MSHSL rules.
