Johnson Girls Are Singles and Doubles State Badminton Champs; Harding and Como Also Medal
Congratulations to the 2026 State Badminton Singles Champion Amanda Her and State Badminton Doubles Champions Gaonou Vang and Angelina Thao of Johnson Senior High School. The Governors girls team took second place at state as well!
Amanda and her teammates were featured on WCCO earlier this month for continuing the school's legacy in the sport. Head coach Nuhchi Chah is a 2019 Johnson alum who also played on the Governors state champion badminton team.
Harding's Gao Zhia Vue was the singles runner up, and Nico Solheid of Como Park beat her sister Tsuki for third place. The Cougars team finished in third place. Congratulations to all of our state girls badminton athletes!
